Mr. Igeme Samson Nabeta
Founder & Rector, Jinja Institute of Technology

Mr. Nathan Samson Nabeta Igeme is a distinguished Business Administrator, Public Leader, and Entrepreneur with over 22 years of multi-sectoral leadership experience across Uganda and the United States. As the founder and Rector of the Jinja Institute of Technology, he brings a unique blend of international professional expertise and a deep-rooted commitment to technical education.
An Honors graduate in International Business from Oklahoma State University (USA), Mr. Nabeta’s vision for the institute is built on a foundation of innovation and excellence, aiming to bridge the gap between academic theory and the practical demands of the modern global economy.
His career is defined by high-impact public service, having served as Uganda’s Minister of State for Trade and as a long-standing Member of Parliament. During his tenure as Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Information, Communications, and Technology (ICT), Mr. Nabeta was instrumental in spearheading the country’s foundational cyber laws, including the Computer Misuse Act and the Electronic Transactions Act.
